Filling out Patrol Orders:

CG 5132 (CG Aux Patrol Order).
Section I, Authorization.  The coxswain does not fill out anything or change anything in this section.  You cannot change the operator's name.  If there has been a last minute change in coxswains, attach a note to the order

Section II, Claim for Reimbursement.
         1.  "Itinerary".  The only two lines that need to be filled out are"Facility in Use" and "Facility Use Ended".  Be sure to include  "Location".  Trailering data is in a separate box and does not require start/finish times.
         2.  "List Names and Member #s of All Personal on Board".  Do not enter the coxswain' name/# in this section.  Double check each member # for accuracy.
         3.  "Reimbursable Expenses": "Meals".  Check "Yes" in the second column only if meals were provided by the CG.  In the third column, put a check in the operator and crew blocks for each meal the operator provided.  If the operator did not provide some or any meals, put 0s in the appropriate blocks.  In the "Fuel, Oil, Ice, Other" section, put the operator's cost in the "Total" column.
"Signature of Operator" and "Signature of Claimant"  sections:  both MUST be signed even if they are the same person.
If you do a 2+ day patrol on the same TONO, be sure to write the TONO on the continuation pages.  List all "Names and Member #s" (except the coxswain) on the pages.  "Same as page 1" won't fly.

CG 2736 (Vessel Facility Inspection and Offer for Use Form)
Common Errors
         1.  "Gas" or "Diesel"  in the "Type Power" block.  Should be "Inboard, O/B, I/O" etc.
         2.  "Total Value of Vessel" is not the sum of the other values.
         3.  Inspector does not check blocks in Section IV.
         4.  "Extra Anchor"and/or "Loud Hailer/Megaphone" not checked in Section VIII.  These must be on board.
         5.  An "Operation of Aux Facility by a Non Owner Letter" must be sent in with every Facility Inspection

PATROLS

During the Summer patrol season, 30 April to 1 September 2004, only one safety patrol is permitted in a given patrol area (10A, 10B, 11, 12)  per weekend day.Two boats per day conducting safety patrols are permitted per area on holiday (three day) weekends.  This limitation does not apply to member training patrols, harbor patrols or any other patrols except safety patrols.  We can have one safety patrol boat in area 11, for example, and two more doing member training on the same day.

REMINDER  Submitting the CG Aux Patrol Order does not send your data to DIRAUX.  To get credit for patrol hours, you must submit a Mission Activity Report through your FSO-IS.
